MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK
Mikumi National Park located at the north bordered to the south with the Selous Game Reserve, the two areas forming a unique ecosystem. Two other natural areas bordering the national park are the Udzungwa Mountains and Uluguru Mountains. Mikumi National Park covers an area of 3230 km² hence is the fifth largest in the country. Mikumi is a very short safari from Dar es Salaam, approximately 5hrs by vehicle from Dar es salaam. It is one of the most frequently visited National Parks in Tanzania.
Mikumi National Park surrounded by open grasslands and mountain ranges hosts’ small and large mammals including variety of birds species and reptiles. Mikumi is a home of Elephants, Lions, Wild dogs, Zebras, Hyena, Buffalo, Wildebeest, Eland, Hartebeest, Baboons, Hippos and Crocodiles.

Pickup from the Airport or your Accommodation in Dar es salaam, Appr: Time: 04.30am drive to Mikumi National Park. Arrival: Better before 10:00am and starting a game drive until 13.00hrs when you will stop for lunch then proceed with game drive until 15.00hrs when you’ll en route back to Dar es salaam with stopover in Chalinze Town for washroom. Then proceed with a drive direct and drop you off at your Accommodation or Airport in Dar es salaam.
