Paje Beach has the lagoon that is the top  site  used to learn kiteboarding, since a very consistent side-onshore wind is blowing most of the year, the lagoon is shallow during low tide  and  has  a  sandy bottom,  and  the  reef  protects  the  lagoon  from waves. UROA BAY  HALF DAY TOUR  IN ZANZIBAR (Includes Buffet Dinner)

Uroa is a small rural coastal village on central eastern parts of Zanzibar. Located in the Uroa Bay, approximately halfway between the villages of Kiwengwa, Pongwe and Chwaka; 21.7 miles (35 km) north of Zanzibar Town. Uroans mostly live on fishing and seaweed farming; tourism is also developing in the area, although to a lesser extent than on the south-eastern coast. It is a small and centerless village with resorts on the southern and northern side of its bay. Uroa Village stretches in a narrow, long line from south to north along the coastline, appropriately named Uroa Beach. The elevation of the town is only 3.2 feet (1 meter) on average. Excellent snorkeling between Ras Michamvi & Uroa Bay dependent the tides, so always necessary to check for high and low tide, low tide is usually better for sight and with calm water which makes it better underwater visibility of corals and fish as well as for swimming itself.. Walking Tour begins with a visit of the small local village house where native welcome awaits you and you will hear tales of Swahili past and present. The you will proceed with a discovery of the villages that dedicate the works of coconuts, the real lives of this populations, the caves, history of tradition, and how the native enjoys their lives on the sun, their endless Jambo.
